I like to watch the show "Pimp my Ride" and how old cars get transformed into custom made show quality cars. I have one problem with the creators...they tend to put fancy speakers, boosters, TVs and other weird gadgets in the trunk. It is a cool idea but where can people find room for their luggage and other stuff like that if the trunk is full of all the electronic gadgets? Just find it odd but then again maybe the owners wont use their spruced up cars to travel or go long distances.

I know what you are talking about, I seen that show a few times because my son likes watching that show, I like how they were very creative with building in brand new cool stuff even the engine, I would love for them to pimp my car, my car needs a brand new look :giggle:

I've seen it on TV a few times, I do like some of the cool stuff but not too much of that junk through but it was nice seeing people's facial experision when they saw what they did to their cars/trucks....

Yea it is fun seeing the before and after pics but I wonder what happens afterwards when the car owners need to use their trunk for loading baggage or whatever. I am really interested to see like a follow-up episode or something like that of how the pimped up rides impacted their daily lives.:ugh3:

I saw that show before, it's interesting how they convert their old beaters to shiny new looking rides. ;)

Pimp my car!! I wouldn't mind!! It would be awesome!

They rock! I love that show!! Watch it now and then!

Shel,

I think it's more for "show" than anything else. The more speakers, subwoofers, TVs and DVDs there are, the better.

As for a follow-up, I'd be curious to know what these people do with their cars after the show. Do they keep them stored in a garage hoping to resell them for profit?

I also wonder whose brave enough to drive their pimped ride down a street in their neighborhood with all of those fancy gadgets and electronics? LOL!

Forget a pimped out car for moi. Id rather keep my car stock and pretty trashed :) I think of a trashed car as a good luck charm cuz the cops and car thieves would just rather stay away from it than a blinged out car.

I'm with ya, Sablescort. I like the way my van looks...a little bit rundown but the drivetrains are still in excellent condition. can't complain,eh.
