Local news came to the shelter where i volunteer in training and behavior modification, and took pictures and did live broadcast of the volunteer program I participate in, and talked about the major Fall fundraiser.
This is a link to scene that includes me <in back, dark hair, glasses orange shirt>; the little cattle dog mix there did go home yesterday! The reporter is a blond woman, talking with department supervisor and showing what Ava - the dog- has learned

in the scene we're doing a class for the dogs in the shelter who take part in special training and behavior modification.

Awesome! You're now famous! :)

Speaking of the cattle dog, we have a black lab-mix and we've all been trying to figure out what she is other than lab. Our vet thinks it's some type of cattle dog, maybe Australian shephard or border collie. The ears in the photo you posted are the same as ours, and definitely not Lab ears.

I knew it was a cattle dog from behind!! Those make wonderful pets and very protective and loyal. Looks like you did great....

:ty:/thank you all for looking and comments!
this is a better shot of little Ava more from the front...you can see more of ears, AC- https://localtvwiti.files.wordpress.com/2015/10/haws1.jpg

yup, you were right, Lau! She's a real cute little mix, on the adoptive family info. we put together for the adopters, I added that she is very athletic and smart, and dogs sports or food-finding games would be great for her!

:)

Both thumbs up for dogmom and the shelter program!

The one on the right is the black lab mix I was telling you about.

Great pics of you and the sweet pup!

:ty: everyone for your very kind comments and checking out the pictures!

LOVE the shot of the pups, AC! You're right - those ears, and the head/muzzle are indicative of something else, like the cattle dog. Love the white on your girl! What are the two dogs' names?
