Hi
I'm new member..
this is my hearing loss diagram (right ear)
Does Epoq W Rite Power work for me?

also I have choices:
1- Phonak Naida
2- Oticon Sumo DM << Does it have old oticon Syncro features?!

(also if you know Widex HA good for me & better than (sumo&naida) I'll appreciate if you mention it)

I do prefer sumo dm, since my years with phonak is not good comparing with Oticon..
But I hear Naida is more technically advanced than sumo dm..

My current hearing aid: Oticon Digifocus II

thank you..

I have octicon and I feel comfortable with that brand. If the phonak is more technologically advanced, can you delay the new purchase for a new octicon version? I hate when I buy technology and then immediately a new advanced product comes out.

I use Oticon also; I've never used phonak so I cant give a comparable opinion. Im satisfied with oticon though.

My husband is about to try out the Phonak (not sure which model) and the Oticon (not sure which model) on Tuesday. We'll see what transpires.

I've been having some adjustment issues with the Phonak Naida V UP. I will be getting it again on this week. I've been posting information re: the Phonak on another thread. Check out the Phonak thread that LJehl has started and there's quite a bit of information that you can possibly take away with you!

I would recommend the Sumo DM for you. Im unsure if Epoq would cover enough of your loss.

The naidas are probably more advanced, and Phonak has all these accessories that you can use with the naida's, but you might not like the way they sound. But you should give them a try.

If you prefer Oticon, you may want to stick with that company if you didn't care for Phonak in the past. The Naida does have a lot of great features, but it takes many adjusting appointments to get this hearing aid programmed just right.

I myself didn't care much for the Naida, but I've only worn Phonak HAs so I have no idea what Oticon's are like.

Compare them both, and see if your audiologist will let you do a trial run with both hearing aids. Try out one for a while, then try the other, and then decide which one you like best. I think this is the best way to go.
