Phonak have confirmed, which I think is totally stupid, that they will no longer re case (in case of a crack) Phonak Naida Core HAs (since 2012) even tho the Phonak Naida Spice and Phonak Naida Quest HAs are in the same casing. Totally stupid, I believe! (In away, I think its wrong!)

They say legally they only have to do it for 5 years and as the Phonak Naida Core came out in 2008, they stopped doing it in 2012 BUT they say they will repair them, very strange!

Noooo.....I'm not in the UK but that is stupidly a really stupid policy.
I know the NHS provides hearing aids (which is heaven compared to the United States where we have to save up for years to afford hearing aids that are appropriate) but what are they gaining with this policy?

This is privately in the UK from Phonak UK. NHS will be able to get their Nathos SP W = Naida Core V SP and Nathos UP W = Naida Core V UP replaced etc etc as they only pay roughly £100 for each HA. Not worth repairing in their case as brand new HA are so cheap.

I think its a stupid policy especially as the Naidas S and Q are in the same casing. I might understand it, if the new Naidas were in a different casing.

They are in a new casing, I have had both an S IX and now have a Q90. The battery door is the same but the switch and button is quite a bit different.

The actually casing is the same tho but the switch and button is a different color and the switch is different in the design but its a pin system and underneath, its the same on all 3 Naidas. It's already been confirmed that I could have the new Naida Q volume switch on my Naida S if I wanted.
