Does anyone know when Comfort in Noise would actually kick in, in what type of noise/situation?

I know Speech in Noise will kick in when in noise and Quiet will kick in when in the house.

Never found out when the Comfort in Noise would kick in? Anyone know. Thanks :)

I have comfort in noise as one if my manual programs, but I don't know when it would actually kick in automatically with SoundFlow..

Have you used Comfort in Noise yet as your manual program? What type of situation were you in?

I know a lot of people have the soundflow program's as manual program's as well. Seems to be popular to put them as manual program's as well :)

It certainly does not kick in during a very windy day. I have a hard time when wind blows by the aid.

I had no idea they even had comfort in noise. I can tell you what they do in a very noise situation though, I'm talking like very loud music.....they pretty much shut down, you can't really hear anything.

The Vs and IXs have Comfort in Noise altho I have no idea when this kicks in. I find Comfort in Noise to be super quiet which is why I'm wondering.

We ain't to sure ourselves. :)

Oh gotcha. no problem

yesterday, i thought my hearing aid quitted on me but it turns out the tiny pipe that has protected stuff in it from getting wet or sweat. It was blocked somehow. so they replaced the tiny pipe with my ha. I asked her to adjust the sound level to match with my hearing level. Before i dont really hear the soft clap then she adjusted the sound level and i can hear the soft clap. Its really PAIN in the BUTT for me to ask her to adjust the sound level to match with my hearing level over and over. I wish i could own the program machine to adjust the sounds msyelf at home! :mad2:

My friend adjusted her own Naidas herself today with software and icube bought on eBay. She loved the fact she could adjust them. Personally I wouldn't risk it myself as I can afford to break my Naidas.

I feel you about dont want to risk it myself either.

Regards the ear hook and the white filter that got blocked. I believe Ambroisa had hers popped out and is wearing them without. Might be a solution if you find the ear hooks to block up lots :)

The ones that are blocked, can most of the time, dry out if left. Always good to have spares :)

yeah yesterday i got freaked out about it and called the hearing aid service right away. LOL i can't afford to mess up with my new hearing aid. :D

I miss my Naidas. Had to take them to the Audi with the ComPilot to be sent to Phonak. I've been having intermittent problems with both HAs when using the ComPilot. Phonak had me try all kinds of things first before having me send the HAs in with it. Hopefully they'll find the problem & fix it.
I have loaner HAs (Starkey X Series) and am not crazy about them but it's better than no HA. Maybe I'll see if my old Oticons Sumos have enough gain for me. Been meaning to get them adjusted to my hearing loss since getting the Naidas. I don't think my loss is much worse since switching. I'll get them set up at my next appt when I pick up the Naidas.

That's a real bummer but fingers crossed they don't take long to come back.

Good idea about getting your Sumos adjusted. You never know if your HA would break over a weekend or whiles on vacation/holiday etc and you can't get any loaner HAs.

Tried my Sumos last night. The left one is either not working or that ear took a nose dive after I got my Naidas. It's my worse ear. I may try it in my right ear to see if I can hear anything. Wasn't crazy about how my right one sounded but that may just be because of needing my brain to adjust.
