It only led me to CNN and see no article for that. But, after seeing the title, that's great to know. So, Duck Dynasty fans can watch him again. :)

I'm not wild about them, lol. But, it's pretty relief to see him being still here on the show.

YAY! :)

That's interesting. So why do you feel the need to comment on something that you think is a waste of time?
:laugh2: Those shows are 30-60 minutes long. Posting a comment takes less than one minute. Can't I express my own opinion, control freak?

Foxrac, I want to thank you for bring Phil Robertson up. As a result of your prior thread that got locked on this subject, I watched my very first episode of Duck Dynasty. It's a good show.

Your welcome.

I started watch Duck Dynasty last year (2012) and it was great show. I think Phil Robertson's belief is about himself and he doesn't want pass his belief on other people because he knows people have different beliefs. Unlike other people, Phil Robertson is very honest about his belief and I don't blame on him for believe that black people had a better life during Jim Crow era, however he hadn't seen black people lynched and I think it is very localized. He is just share his experience so no one need get offended because of his experience or belief.

I'm glad that I referred you to watch Duck Dynasty and I believe that most southerners are fan of this show, even southern gay men too.

Yes that is true. I know a gay southern man who is a fan of the show. He is also an airline pilot and attends a Catholic Church.

Wirelessly posted

I stand firm with Phil!

Somebody has got to bring this back on subject:

OP, have you ever read South of Broad by Pat Conroy? You might like it.

Isn't that about Charleston? South of Broad is an area of downtown Charleston, and of course Pat Conroy is the author of all things Lowcountry.

Yes, very well written book. I recommend it. I think he is a good writer.

I'd discuss, but I think it is better you read it first.

Nah, too much real Charleston drama around here. BTW, I lived thru that same Hurricane Hugo that hit Charleston. We lived just north of Charleston in Goose Creek. A few days after it hit we drove down the South of Broad area and saw the devastation along the Battery.

Back to the original subject title... Fear the Beard, he's back!

Yep, he will be back in the Spring as part of his punishment from the A&E. So he will serve his time soon and then he will be on the show again.

Also I noticed that he was giving his girlfriend the wedding or engagement ring to marry her. I don't read much.

I am not a fan of his. Not my type, anyway. :P

Mod note:

The reason the other thread by Foxrac got locked up is because of religion and getting into political discussion with the 'freedom of speech' I can understand the sticky subject when it comes to that but per the rules I was the one that closed that thread before it goes too far in discussion. I conferred to Alex after locking it up and the decision stands.

Now let get back to topic and enough with the silly belittling if you don't want this thread locked again. If someone wants to inquire why a thread is locked, send me or Alex a PM. Again, feel free to discuss political and religion subjects in PMland.

Thank you.

'Duck Dynasty': GLAAD responds to Phil Robertson's return - latimes.com

GLAAD is not pleased with A&E's decision reversing the suspension of Phil Robertson from "Duck Dynasty."

"Phil Robertson should look African American and gay people in the eyes and hear about the hurtful impact of praising Jim Crow laws and comparing gay people to terrorists," the organization said in a statement. "If dialogue with Phil is not part of next steps then A+E has chosen profits over African American and gay people – especially its employees and viewers."

GLAAD was one of the key groups that condemned Robertson after controversial comments he made about gays and blacks in GQ magazine. The group's outrage helped prompt the suspension of Robertson by A&E.

A&E announced that they were lifting the suspension, allowing the show to resume filming in the spring with the entire Robertson family.

Ok, where exactly did Robertson praise Jim Crow laws? Or, compare homosexuals to terrorists?

Are they going to claim he didn't tip a lesbian waitress and left a homophobic note too?

I, for one, am so happy, happy, happy that GLAAD made their statement public. They have lost every shred of credibility ...
