But, hello! My name is Sara a.k.a. Sarita. I'm a level 2 student in ASL at Kean University! Why did I decide to minor in ASL? Well, I have to say, it's such a beautiful language. I love the artistic, performance aspect of it. I also love the openness from the community and the generosity. I've attended a couple meet-ups and some Asl festivals like ASL SLam in NYC and the Deaf Festival '13 this year, but I'm always looking for more!
I hope to work my way up to Level 4 and maybe even study up to become a licensed interpreter. But, in the meantime, I hope to build relationships and continue learning and exploring this beautiful language.
