P3 is crap. I'm sick of place on computer because too many people don't know how to take care of computer to stay stable. It's better to have direct videophone equipment. Now, Purple is finally have one after MVP fail - SmartVP - ?
That is exact why I never like on computer. I don't mind testing but it never meets my expectation. Reason? It depends on how much garbage you got on your computer and how small your computer is (Its not the physical size, it is logic size I am speaking of). The more garbage computer has to handle, it will slow down and can impact those video quality easily. I rather stand alone VP equipment, no garbage just VP period.
I just had sneak preview of SmartVP, and since I know the more garbage packed in a device can impact whole system. I am not sure if SmartVP is big enough to handle all of these new features packed in. If it is big enough, then there will be a real competition going on. Time will tell.
kinda like MVP purple tried years back.
Yes, you would need to return Sorenson equiptment back. All you have to do is to call Sorenson tech support and ask them to have their installer to come to your place and pick up the equiptment. I will warn you that they will attempt to beg you to keep Sorenson even their supervisor will try to convince you to stay with them. You will have to be tough with them. If they threatened you that they won't provide equiptment next time you want go back or make you pay for service. That's all lie. FCC state that you have right to choose service and VRS cannot threaten, coerce, force or punish you for switching over to different service NOR hold you up hostage over VP. If you ever have problem with Sorenson harass you through VP if you port phone number to Purple. You can tell them you will report to police for harassment. Hang up on them. Sorenson have been known to use aggressive tacit to force, scare or make deaf user guilty. So just stand your ground.
Phone number is YOURS, NOT Theirs. If they make you pay for the phone number that you ported, hang them up and file complaint to FCC.
Catty
Sorenson has been doing the same thing to me lately. I had one guy contact me repeatedly. (Turns out he's hated by a lot of people. I'm surprised he's still employed there.) He contacted me by VP, by email, and by text. I told him that I didn't want his help, and if I did... I would ask him. What happens a few months later? He contacts me again... and again... and again. Even his boss keeps contacting me... again... and again... and again. No wonder why FCC wants to take action. Sorenson is commercializing their product and services with our tax dollars.
That's the thing... they're using our tax dollars to give other people free iPads?Sorenson keeps calling us trying to offer us a free iPad to switch back. We have declined every time. They're really starting to get on my nerves. I believe I will file a complaint with the FCC the next time they call our house.
On the other hand... I'm still waiting for my $25 gift card promise from ZVRS for sending Sorenson's nTouch back to them.
That's the thing... they're using our tax dollars to give other people free iPads?
Of course, that $25 gift card is also our tax dollars as well.

This is incorrect.
None of the personal tax dollars are paying the 25 dollar gift card or the iPads. VRS are paying for those things out of their own pockets with the income they earned with relay calls services.
It like you doing a service and getting paid for it then buy an iPad for your family. You can do anything you wish with the income you EARNED so therefore the company can do anything they wish with the income they EARNED for doing a service and getting paid for it.
If they want to go spend income they EARNED back into the Deaf community then they are welcome because it their OWN money not someone's tax dollar.
And one last thing, people's income or payroll tax money are not paying for any of VRS service, people who use phone or cell phone are paying for the VRS service when they pay their monthly bill.
.
Sounds to me like y'all are "earning" too much money then.
