"A new study has found a significant link between high use of anticholinergic drugs - including popular non-prescription sleep aids and the antihistamine Benadryl (diphenhydramine) - and increased risk of developing dementia and Alzheimer's disease in older people…."

not surprised, I've always suspected pills are also designed to hasten death.....

Oh, great! I have been using lots of Benadryl for many years because of severe allergies.

I don't take any meds , I hate all the side affects. I was given one for dizziness and I looked it up on line and the med could made your balance worst . I did not get it filled.

I don't know how reliable the study could be,because they already came out and said those not getting enough sleep have a higher rate of dementia and or alzheimer's. So it sounds like your damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Recently, they found that the consumption of red meat is highly related to the appearance and progession of AD. The AD remains a mystery to solve . Some drugs, when used long-term or even years , loses their effectiveness. That is why some industries are always looking to make new drugs. The main goal of treatment (probably the most safer ) is to avoid the formation of Beta - Amyloid (a protein made by the body) responsible for AD.
