Id like to see what kind of organizations did you guys have in the past.

I did not think of sports but i know sports do have club such as raising fund as a committee or volunteer, not playing. Speaking of the club, or organization like student body government, yearbook, committee and volunteer during your high school years or college years.

No it is not about my kids. I am curious about most of you who attended to the mainstreamed school or hearing school. did you participle in any kind of clubs or organzations? or college years?

Nahhhhh thats OK. I could have edit my original post but thats ok. I wanted to know both, deaf school and mainstreamed school so i can see whats the difference between them that to get opportunity to participle in any kind of clubs,

3 years being the Yearbook editor, won states in a VICA printing competition, captain of the academic bowl team, captain of football team, SBG president, track team, and god knows what else.. been so long.
 
I was in a sport fencing club during high school. It was not a part of high school, it was a separate organization with people of all ages.

In college right now, I am Treasurer of my college's Phi Beta Lambda (Future Business Leaders of America).

gosh, that was more than mine when i was in high school. just SBG (i think president) class of 89, yearbook editor, one time mock trial, one time jr nad. but college i got a lot of committees with RF, homecoming, SBG as a secretary, manager for volleyball ( love it!), stunt skits for class of 94 and worked as student resident advisor as a sponsor for prep students and goes on. i constantly used to work as admission so i can chat with everyone when they came in, for RF or homecoming. LOL

I enjoyed meeting the old faces and new faces. :)
 
Fraternity, Student Congress, SBG, Dean Advisory Board, Greek Council, InterFraternity Council, Rock Festival, Pre-RF Festival, Class of 1990 and a few more....
 
I was in the Glee club, DCT, and I can't remember the name of the other coral group I was in. I was also on the yearbook team for 10th and 12th grade. I was in the drama club and also was in charge of a Bible study group and Prayer group. This was before they were banned from school.

Yes! Might surprise people know I was keener high school. Lol. I: yearbook editor, student council treasurer, volleyball team, figure skate club, leader school spirit society. :)

Edit add: I go hearie school, no more trouble clubs than class.

I had a lot of problems, but felt like I needed to do these clubs to "fit in" with kids who thought I was "too dumb or too ignorant" due to my hearing loss.

wish you didn't feel that way back in your time. but did you learn anything though? I do see that you are working with your kids, schooling your kids. I could not do schooling my kids . lol
