One dead after smoke fills Metro station, forcing evacuation

Does this sound like a terrorists attack to you , is does to me so far , there was a toxic gas in the subway and it killed one person.
 
From what I've heard, it most likely was an electrical problem with the wires or the third rail. I'm sure those could cause toxic fumes.

Heck, my heating oil leak is creating toxic fumes. Luckily not bad enough for me to evacuate the house, though I am getting ready to go out to warm up (have windows open) and get away from the smell (which isn't too bad today).
 
Oh wow, that was horrible and I used DC subway last month before winter break.

One linked worked you if copy and pasted it. I had to do this with some other people links too. I fixed mine. I know it's horrible and it going to take tie to find out just was did happen . .@ LoveBlue, thanks , that is good to know it was not a terrorist attack , it's horrible one person die .
 
Yikes... will have to check in on a friend of mine.. I know he takes the subway in to work from his home in Maryland...
 
That looked like(watching news) like a horrifying experience. Lucky there weren't more deaths. I have claustrophobia so anything like that is very difficult to even imagine. In that situation, just let me out of here . They told the people to not to open the doors, I understand why but, I was panicking just watching that piece.
 
My husband had been home very very late in the last two nights because of this incident. No, he wasnt there but his route to the airport where he parks his SUV was blocked or very delayed. Today, he worked from home because he didnt want to deal with the craziness in DC.

I agree, I could only think of a terrorist attack when I saw it on the news b/c there been threats of more attacks. I had not heard anymore about the person that die.
