Officials: Missing NC couple found dead inside truck - WBTV 3 News, Weather, Sports, and Traffic for Charlotte, NC
LENOIR, NC (WBTV) -
A husband and wife reported missing out of Caldwell County Monday were found dead inside a crashed vehicle in Burke County.
The NC Center for Missing Persons initiated two Silver Alerts for 76-year-old Creed Goble and his wife, 73-year-old Margie Goble, who were last seen in Hudson, on Wednesday.
The couple's crashed truck was reported just before noon on Highway 64 in the Salem community of Burke County.
Officials later confirmed the pair were deceased inside the vehicle. The two Silver Alerts were then canceled.
Troopers told WBTV that it is possible the driver of the truck had a medical issue which caused the vehicle to go off the road and down a 50-foot ravine.
Troopers from the NC Highway Patrol were on scene Wednesday investigating.
