HOUSTON _ After three years with the same personalized plate, a Houston man has been told by the DMV he can no longer have it.
“I had it for more than three years without any problem,” Safer Hassan told KPRC.
Hassan said he recently received a letter from the DMV that his plate, “370H55V,” would be canceled in the next month.
Hassan said his friends don’t even understand the meaning behind it.
The DMV is saying that when the license plate is turned upside down, it alludes to a curse word.
Hassan also told KPRC that he plans to appeal that state’s decision.
