Nucleus Freedom - So How much?

Hi there,

I don't have any hearing issues myself, however, my girlfriend has a cochlear implant.

currently she has the neucleus 24 implant and is using the Esprit 3G processor.

What I was wondering however, is how much it'd cost to get the Freedom, and of course whether there's any such thing as "trading in" the old processor.

Thanks to anyone with info.
 
from what I can find insurance could pay for the updgrade and cochlear has a procedure with a third party to see if they can get insurance to pay for it.

otherwise this is what I found.

Tradein prices are two tiered:
ESPrit 3G and Sprint: (US) $3,000 trade in value
Spectra, ESPrit 22/24 and MSP: (US) $2000 trade in value.

She's from Hungary so I'm not sure what the deal is there, the state paid for her implant originally, not sure what the state of play would be regarding getting it upgraded.

in any case, if someone can login there and let me know the price that'd be great
