No, I don't mean the National Security Agency. Welcome to Naida Sufferer's Anonymous.

I have an appointment tomorrow to try and get to the root of the problem with the Naidas and the FM.One thought is that when the hearing aid reaches peak gain the battery can't handle it all the the FM cuts out. I am doubtful, but we shall see.

This is now our safe place to share Naida griefs and metaphorically bash the little demonic plastic creatures that plague our ears and control our minds.

I need to go back and re-tweak mine. The audie seems to have turned down the left ear way too low.

BTW, today I pulled out the little filter thing from the earhooks, and it sounds MUCH better. I don't know why they even sell it with that stupid thing. Personally, I suggest everyone with Naidas should take out the filter.
 
how did you get it out??? I have tried...but I have fine motor skill issues and can't...
 
I think i read somewhere that someone had taken their's out with a paper clip?
 
I thought someone was offering NSA. I got excited but I found that wasn't the case so, im out. T'care guys

After hearing about many of these issues with the Naidas, I'm glad I went with my Unitron 360e. I hope you guys get these issues worked out and they don't plague you any longer - these issues occurring on a daily basis have to suck.

BTW, regarding the issues of the filters - I had my audiologist take out my filter on my Unitron. Sound is MUCH better and more "there" so if you're having trouble with digital hearing aids and you have a BTE model I'd suggest asking your audiologist what they think about removing that filter.

Exactly. Came out very easy. Just be sure to put a little curvature into the paper clip so that it will move through the shape of the earhook and it will work fine.

Hey all,

So I was just at my audiologists and my hearing aids are possesed. They weren't hooked up to the computer and there were no batteries in them and they were making strange noises according to my audi. Then our appointment time ran out and I was sent away and told to come back in an hour. So now, I'm waiting for that hour and then going back. We were unable to fix anything and if anything they seem more broken than before! Sigh.
 
hehe yes phonak can suck..i love my aids most of the time..when they work..but ive had my share of probs with them too...
 
I've had no problems with my Naidas for the past 10 days! Of course, they've been in for repairs the whole time...
