whether Sarah Palin was wearing or wears an earpiece at certain times during the US Presidential election campaign will now - hopefully - become far less of an issue than it was, in which ear would you wear an earpiece if you had to, and why? I would say my right ear because I am right handed - but seeing as there are videos on line of Palin - supposedly - wearing hers in different ears at different times, I could, I suppose wear it in my left just as easily.

I've kept up with the entire McCain/Palin campaign and not once did I hear anything about Sarah Palin wearing an earpiece. Interesting.

I no longer wear hearing aids, but when I did, I always wore them in both ears because I had hearing loss in both ears and hearing with both ears was better than hearing with only one. Additionally, hearing with both ears provided stereo sound as well as the ability for me to localize sound. It also helped equalize my balance without making me feel as if I was experiencing vertigo or similar conditions.

Martyns, I also missed the mention of Palin's earpiece. But since I wear a hearing aid in each ear, I would not have room for an earpiece. I feel strongly however, that I would strongly request that one of my aides wear the earpiece. I would prefer the to switch it between ears, in other words, one day left ear, the next day right. That is the only way it would be fair and balanced.

For details about Palin's earpiece (if indeed she was wearing one) is something in great depth on youtube.com. See (and watch!) what it says, then post back!

I can't find any videos on YouTube about Palin's earpiece. Could you provide a direct link? Thanks! :)
