If you tell to police that you have PTSD but not suicidal so they will take you to mental hospital by force and make you to have a ride in back of police's car.

Today, more and more law enforcement have deal with mentally ill as more states are reducing the psych beds to minimum.

In Alabama, all of psych beds are at 100% capacity so they won't take you in, also state hospitals are 100% full so you have to wait for 6 months to 1 month to get in, but court order usually lasted between 7 days to 30 days.

If all of psych beds are full and you are suicidal so basically toobad to you, but they could take you to ER to treat you like band aid, then discharge you about few hours later.

The jails/prisons are allowed to exceed the capacity but psych wards aren't allow go beyond 100%.
