I am uncertain if I'm on the right course. I only chose this course as my friend was doing the same course and I was pressured into making a decision in which course I wanted to do. I'v been studying Childcare for 3 years and I'm still unsure if I want to work with children. Also lately, I'v been missing a lot of time of college due to me being fed up of the course and not sure in what I want to do. I just do not know at all. I could talk to people but they would not help me, i'v tried and it doesnt work.

Sigh... I'm supposed to be finishing college in July 09 and getting a job.

Okay, so, let's go back to your high school days, then, teen. What did you want to do? What are your interests? What are you interested in doing? What did you enjoy doing in your spare time and wonder if it would be fun to do for a living?

if you're a client of vr, you might want to ask your counselor if they will authorize payment for an interest test. interest tests are designed to tell you what your interests are as well as which jobs would best suit them.

Ok, here is my example.

In 2005, that was the year I graduated grade 12...it was the time I wanted to study Multimedia cause it has pursued my interest in it. I have recieved very good grades in multimedia subject during my high school years.

I went to attend Advanced Diploma of Communication and New Media which goes for two years, guess what? I only survived for a year because I have realised that the course wasn't for me, and it was too hard, despite of my deafness and whatnot.

But fortunately, I found a alternative, which was the IT industry, I went into apprenticeship programme, which included studying at school of IT General (Application Development) for two years. And right now, I made it to the very end, which was just few days ago. I am due to graduate in less than two weeks. And now, since the aprenticeship I have been employed in a great job with excellent salar -- and am happy on what I am now.

So don't take anyone's advice, if you are losing interest in childcare, go for something different. It is your LIFE. :cool2:

What course are you taking?
The CDA?

If you are not happy or sure about child care then look else where. Think about what you enjoy doing and redirect your goals. But it is not safe to drop out with out a back up plan.

Honestly - you have a right to pursue what is right for you.

in high schooli had no idea what i wanted to do and still dont. I do not have many interests

Okay, then . . . what things do you like to do?
