I have this program running smoothly since a year now, and of course, my program expired already. I bought an upgraded part from the internet, and now it's not expired until June 2004.

But the problem I have is... that it fucked up the processing of recieving/sending email messages. :( I tried to get into the NAV program to get it fixed but everytime I just get in there, the NAV window itself just closed automatically. :ugh: Any suggestions on what to do now?

Yes, I do. Is that the problem?

(Psst: Sorry for the delay on answering this thread. :sigh: )

Then I think the problem lies somewhere in the Outlook's settings.

I believe that your computer has some kind of configuration where when you check your emails, the Outlook would launch the Norton to scan all the emails including the attachments.

Actually you need to disable NAV in Outlook Express is what I was believing (correct me if I'm wrong). Outlook Express has a setting where it will scan your emails for viruses before it opens. You can actually change this command to not scan at all (not recommended) or change the command to scan attachments when attachments are opened. This gives you a level of virus protection within your email as many viruses come as attachments.

Hmm... it doesn't make any sense to me right now... because I have been using MS OE to check my email messages all these years, even though I used NAV 2002 program running. They both ran just fine all these years until I upgraded the NAV. :|

Ok, I think it's a new feature that was in this upgraded version that might be doing something that you don't want. I'll have to fiddle around with the antivirus's options if I were you.

I just did that... playing around with NAV program, and all I get is that everytime I open that program, it closes itself in about like 3 seconds... not giving me enough time to turn on/off an option. :| I think it's the company's error, not the computer.

Ah..sounds like you have a trojan..with a "firewall/antivirus killer" feature. :/

I'll suggest if you get someone to check your system to make sure it's actually clean.

Yes, I can get someone to check my computer out for me. :ugh: I just don't like it, that all.

PAH!! I got it all fixed by myself with an internet assistant! Whew, it was a long, hard work, but hey, I got it PAH!!

The W32.Bugbear.B@mm removal tool had found 2 files that needed to be deleted and 12 files to be repaired in my computer, so now my computer's "virus/worm/Trojan" free for now. SilenceGold, thanks for helping me out here. (I didn't get anyone else to check my computer out, because of the cost and I'm pretty much understand how to follow instructions on fixing computers and stuff like that.)

MOD: Leave this here for any other members who have trouble with NAV programs. I used "www.symantec.com" assistance for some references on how to fix these kind of program problems.

HI there, you can go scan online at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and the online will scan viruses and trojan (the online may be not detecting the trojans it's very rare detect it)

Ah, I appreciate your assistance, but I got it fixed already long ago before I checked your post. I'll keep your suggestion in mind if it happens again (I HOPE NOT IT HAPPEN AGAIN! ). Heh.

Wow...you finally got them removed! :D

I'm glad!

Any more problems with that Norton program disappearing when you try to configure the Norton program?

I did configured the NAV program after I got the problem fixed, and now I'm all settled. Everything is running smoothly now, even with the MS Outlook Express program and everything else. :D Thanks for asking.
