Well, been 2 nights at the hospital with my son. Having tummy issues since he was a wee one, finally got a specialist to get to the bottom of the problem. So far they havent found anything through blood work, looking into any blockages or the such.... He hates the IV in his arm as well as the tube in his nose going to his stomach. Hope they figure out why he is constantly backed up and says he cant feel anything ( cant tell when he has to go )

Poor wee guy....hope bounces back soon sonocotivo....

Me too, been dealing with it for the past 2-3 years. Finally found a specialist who listened and agree theres something wrong. Getting to the bottom of the issue we hope.

I'm so sorry. I hope your adorable little boy gets well soon.

Thanks Bott, Im sure he will bounce back... Been having tummy issues for some time and finally trying to get to the bottom of it before school starts next month.

I am so sorry to hear this the poor little guy , :( I hope the doctors can find out with is wrong with your son so he can get well and be back home . And needless to say this is no fun for your seeing son so ill. The photo of him getting the tube his nose made me cry too.

Mike, sorry to hear your little guy is not feeling well. I hope the doctors can figure this out and make him feel better soon. Stay strong......

Aw, so sorry, he does look unhappy in the photos. Praying all goes well and a good recovery.

Cant find anything wrong, everything looks good. They think that because he had a painful bowel movement that he holds it, being he is scared its going to hurt again, so we just have to keep him hydrated and watch him closer. His diet is good as he loves his veggies and all so thats not an issue. Looks like he will be going home today, waiting on the doctors to make their rounds.

They took his IV out last night since he is drinking, but he is hungry for some real food since he's been on a clear diet the past few days. So he is ready to go.

I wish I could get the video up of him when they gave him something to relax him before the IV and tube, he was sooooo funny!
Forgot to mention, he did pull the tube out of his nose/stomach after they moved him back to his room but got it back in fairly fast, he doesnt like it at all.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for me....

Sure hope it continues to be nothing. His problem is quite common in children, went through it with my daughter at about that age, it resolves itself, but can be rather worrying. Good luck!

I'm sorry that your son had to go thru all that testing but it's a relief to know that nothing serious was found.

I hope it's just one of those things that he'll outgrow. My younger grandson went thru something similar when he was a baby. His bm's were excruciating for him to experience, and for us to observe. But now, as a teen, he eats a full-course steak dinner and downs hot, hot sauce with no problem--cast iron stomach.

Your son was a trouper to go thru all this. :thumb:

Black strap molasses is good for constipation .My older sister's baby was having painful MB she cried like hell . :( Her mom put a little black strap molasses in her bottle and that help her poop easier.

That is a huge relies that nothing was found wrong with your son , he sound like he is a chip of the old block . I mean in a good way.

Docs say everything looks great now, taking a final xray and probly get released in a couple hours.. Just needing to follow a little diet change ( adding laxitives and bathroom times ) so as long as he keeps it moving and not holding it in , so, hope all is good

Glad to hear he's okay, always good to make sure there is nothing serious or to even catch anything early on.

Did they suggest anything like Benefiber or Metamucil?

Miralax, however its spelled. So hopefully we can get to the bottom of it. Hes had it for 3 years now, sometimes like recently he just gets all backed up and needs a little help, this has been the worst of it.
