I found that out with Stephen King's The Shining. The book is much better than the movie. The part in the book really had me scared is where the boy heard the snow being fallen off the bushes that had been shaped as lions. The "lions" became animated and started chasing the boy on the snowmobile. Nothing like that in the movie.
