NJ agrees to ban Tesla's direct sales

States with strong tyranny background and strong corruption going on... This one makes sense. Very UNAmerica!

what are people supposed to do if Tesla cars have been recalled? or if they have any issue?

that's not tyranny or corruption. it's accountability. that's like me selling you a motorcycle in America from my office in India. good luck dealing with an issue!

all they gotta do is set up a dealership. problem solved.

No, it shows business favoritism. That happened 300 years ago, and America fought for freedom from political favoritism, aka tyranny.

When government limits to specific business, it is much easier for that business to jack up the cost above reasonable That is a true corruption, worse than monopoly.

Back then in early 20th century, Henry Ford wanted to build a car that working man can take care of it (Maintenace, fix, repair, etc) by themselves, what happened to them? Its long gone! Sad!

I have a Tesla here yesterday, just pulled it in the shop for overnight cuz there is no remote inside, customer took it home. Still drive. This sexy body came in with flat rear tire, customer wanted tire repair but I discovered 2 rear tires bad bald inner corners. New tires will come in this morning...

What do you expect from a state that doesn't allow drivers to pump their own gas?

uh.... like I said.... all Tesla had to do is build a dealership... problem solved!

you know what Tesla business is like right now in NJ? I've been there. It's at a friggin' mall like a purse shop! I thought that was very ridiculous.

Shouldn't consumers decide for themselves whether or not they like that?

We all know repairs done at dealership usually cost much more than private, a clever idea of government making everybody going to dealer only so that they (Government) can get more revenue though sales taxes! Is that their real motivation, rack up more money from sales tax by limit customer's choices :hmm: Same goes to the law that don't allow person to fill their tank up… bam! more revenue from gas taxes.

NJ government decided to reserve (Close) a bridge the other day for their business purpose, what does that tell you about government conduction?

They all fall under category as "Tyranny"

dude... you know you can go to private mechanic if you want. this is not about repairing... this is about a dealership.

simple - buy a car from dealership and have your car repaired at wherever you want but I doubt most mechanics know anything about Tesla car

uh... you know that in NJ even though a gas attendant must fill up our car.... it's still much cheaper than NY gas? and Vermont? and Connecticut?

why don't you explain how is it that our gas is the cheapest around here?

actually.... they all fall under category called ILLEGAL. some officials have already resigned and Christie's office is still currently under investigation.

btw - it wasn't for business purpose. it was, as they claimed, for conducting a study on traffic pattern in case of terrorism or something. it turned out to be a political retaliation. it's now dubbed as "Bridgegate"

doesn't work like that for cars. it's a serious liability and accountability issue.

Customers want this car bad enuff and have money to burn they can get around this rule.

I would say with low base priced model S its 70000 maybe with documentation fees delivery etc.

With my state I got to pay taxes on the car when i register the car idk how circumstances are in other states

I can't and will never be able to afford one anyway, so it's a rich person problem for which I don't really care. More than likely people will just go out of state for their Tesla where they can get it.
