Nice Cops

I was driving to Downtown Sacramento trying to look for parking for a club that was like a few blocks away then I turned right, I saw an old man waving at me then I realized wait a minute all the cars that was parked was facing towards me on BOTH sides then I realized I was on a one way street, I did a quick U turn (this is like at 11 pm there wasnt any cars around) and I went back on the street going down waiting for a street that I can turn right to...I hate Sacramento's one way streets GROWL, Anyways a cop SUV was behind me and the lights was flashing. I pulled over to the side, the cop came up to my window. I said I was deaf and to slow down. He said you can read my lips and understand me? I said yes, he asked if I was drinking I said no and he asked why I was doing a u turn, I explained I am not from around the area - my license says Stockton so it is proof :) and he said oh you were lost ah what street were you looking for and that downtown has a lot of one way street so be careful and he told me how to get to the street I was looking for. He also did a watch the finger test and asked for me to breath to him - I notice he did a flashlight to the passenger seat of my car probably checking to see if I have any bottles or alcoholic drink. Then he helped me go to the right way (I knew the way but was pretending not to know). He said be careful there is a lot of drunk driving cuz there was a lot of cops in the area trying to control things...... and few times I saw them pass by when I found a parking and we waved to each other.. some cops are not bad but some are downright evil!!!

babyphat21, what is day or night you curise and party d.t. sacramento around? wow you are so lucky on the earth the cops did not give you a ticket!
 
it was night time - um thursday night you see Sac State is famous for not having almost any Friday classes so a lot of people party on thursday nights. We have a lot of MW or TR classes but rare for daily or MWF.........

That was nice of him. I got stopped myself the other day leaving work. I work at a campus police station, but got stopped by the town police after I left campus. He just told me to slow down. I was going 47MPH in a 25MPH zone. My bad. I wasn't paying attention. I was tired and wanted to get home.
 
Nice of him. I dont want no bad cops disrespecting my master. :twisted: I have a friend who a cop and he is really cool. Glad to know him. Bad cops sucks. One time at my cousin wedding party there was a fight broke out and i had to stop them so I pick on of the fighters and the blue boys came and pin me down and i told them im not the one. So they let me up and told me to get the fuck out of here. I was across the steet and there was cars passing by so I had to wait for a car pass by so i can cross but he threatin me to beat my ass and i told him to chill i dont get run over then ignored him. He wont let me go back to my cousin wedding party when im one of the special ppl. My cousin was mad at me at the next day. I hate that cop.

Yeah why not you stop by my place and take me and join with you some party in D.T. sacramento around. You know what? DownTown sacramento is approximately 10 mins from where I live.:naughty:

You're lucky, there are not that many cops who can be that understanding. :)
 
what is your experience with NICE cops??? one of my friend's boyfriend got pulled over and he didnt know he had a ticket for not wearing seatbelt on his friend's car when he was drunk he was like lying down on teh backseat and apparently they suspended his license for that and since he moved he never got the ticket in the mail...but eventually the cop let him go cuz it was his friend's truck and the friend use it for work and just had a baby so that truck is vital....so he just gave a speeding ticket to the guy and paid for both tickets......he knows he was lucky.... the friend would of killed him!!!

I was coming home from South Carolina, with a stop in PA to meet a friend from the internet. Well, it was like 3am and I was DEAD tired. I was driving about 80 MPH and not staying between lanes. The cop pulled me over. I told him I have been driving for many hours and tired. He told me to switch driving with the other guy I was with, who had been sleeping and told us to be careful. *sigh of relief*
 
...I just remmy...ugh. After having bad experiences back about a year ago... about few months later ..say 2 or 3 months later, the cops pull me and my friend over ..(well...we were right front of my house to drop me off home. And he was just sitting there to say good bye to me as I was trying to get off the car.) The police came. I was like WHAT THE HELL!!! Anyway, turn out it was speeding. I was like what the hell.... back in my mind, i think the police was bored and just making a stupid joke out of it but whatever... the police ask for register and yak yak... the friend got different type of register (older 1, the new one was with his father. *Hes idiot but whatever*) and cant find the one he suppose to have. He gave the old 1 to the police and I had to do the all talking...they just gave us warning and left.

*Rme* nice? Or police just bored?

I got a story to share with you guys about my experience with cops. I grew up in a very small town and almost all cops know that I'm deaf. I waved at them to say Hi and so forth, they waved back smiling as usual. Well, I moved to a very huge city, and I didn't realize that these cops in this city are more strict and mean. I waved at one cop like I always do when I was growing up. That cop came up to me and say, "How may I help you? Got any problem?" I was like, "Uh.. no nevermind." He told me "Don't wave at cops here because that signals us to help or to let us know that you have problems." Oops, shit, my face was so red! :smh:
 
I have brother-in-law who is cop at my location (Fort Worth).

I had a terrible experience with a cop in 1997. I was in Niagara Falls, and kind of lost trying to find the entrance to the Interstate. I was going like 50 kph and looking all over. My French friend and my best friend were with me. We were looking all over and talking, and accidentally ran a red light. A cop was right behind me, but he had his headlights off. Boom! Red lights siren came on. So I pulled over right away, and said I am sorry I ran through the red light, but we were lost, looking for signs for Interstate, etc... The police was a real asshole. We explained that me and my best friend are deaf, and that my friend (hearing)is from France, so she can't really understand English well. The police was mad, thinking we were joking with him.

Turns out that I forgot to turn my headlights on. (too much lights in NF, can see fine without headlights, I guess) Then he took my reg and licence. We waited so long time, and his buddies came to the scene in a blue, unmarked car. He went up to them and talked, joked with them and so on. We were so mad at the cop. Then he walked back to his car. The buddies threw a smoke thingie out of window near my car, and drove away fast. My French friend was so scared, wondering what smoke thingie was. I was so mad, and determined not to do anything stupid.

30 minutes after he stopped me, finally he came back, and questioned us more. Gave me two tickets: for running a red light and for "imprudent speed" which we still think was full of bullshit until this day. We were lost, and if we were looking for signs, we would not be speeding! My best friend talked to her friend who works in law enforcement and he said that the guys probably was trying to provoke me to run away so that they could arrest me and put me in jail, etc. Since this day, I have hated cops.

not for me!!! Uniforms doesnt look sexy to me..I know some girls swoon at the sight of military uniforms.. it has no attraction to me
