Every year, I go to South Carolina. I always get big news every year when I goes there.
2000-Elian Gonzalez get captured and taken to MD to be with his dad.
I was in Edisto Beach on Thursday night before Elian got captured. Then on Friday, I came home and they was still struggling with Elian. Then when I woke up on Saturday. He was already gone. When I was prepared to leave for Charlotte, NC to go to home, my uncle grabbed me and pointed at television screen. I realized riot was starting in Miami. When I arrived home in Massachusetts, he was already in MD.
2002-For many years.....South Carolina been arguing over Confederate flag on capitol of SC. Then they finally agreed to put flag on ground of capitol. On April 17, 2002, there was guy named Rufus Emmett Eddy, 54 year old preacher, put ladder on flag pole and burned Confederate flag. 3-4 police officers were injured. Eddy was arrested. My uncle said that he was one who stolen flags 3-4 times.
2003-Ummmm. This not big to me but Laci Peterson's body is founded. It's sad.
