New Type Of Computer Capable Of Calculating 640TBs Of Data In One Billionth Of A Seco

what's so scary about it?

just what sort of use would they in that power that be considering?? surveillance for instance....
and in another way, (unrelated topic) is its sheer speed, its just hard to comprehend, what sort of software, OS would actually benefit from such a machine with this blazing computer power of this magnitude?!

or solving a difficult scientific question... like cancer

hard to comprehend? not really.

what's there to comprehend? our iPhone is much more powerful than all computers combined back in old days.

what software, you ask? you make your own to compute/compile/etc. Big Data. simple as that. many universities and labs do it. but then.... look at Windows 7 or ubuntu or MacOSX and compare it to DOS.

people in old time would be asking exactly same question. and you know what your response should be?

"for my racing car simulator"

might as well drive a real thing for the same kind of money as that supercomputer.....

Just one thought: no matter how much the computer advances technological-wise, no computer will ever match the power of a human brain.

This reminded me of one article I read recently and you should read it as well. Here's the link: The Computer Chip
