My father, who is 93, is legally blind in one eye and almost that bad in the other. His hearing is also very bad. I'm wondering if he could learn sign language or what his options might be. He can't read letters on the eye chart but can see fingers. Thanks for any help.

:welcome: to Alldeaf, poppanana. :)

I hope that someone else can give you the advice that I can't! :)

At 93 his liquid memory may not be good enough to learn a new language. Maybe write on a large tablet with thick lead.

Also forgot to mention he could write under a magnifier, or have text set at a huge size on a computer screen if he can type. That is what I do.

We have one member that I know uses a 52 inch tv as a computer monitor as he is legally blind.
