that's my biggest problems! sometimes I WANT the background noise.
I have a large family, some are musicians, and I go to church and my son's school alot. where background noise is a must.
But at the same time it's background noises that prevent me from understanding people. I am not a great lipreader and rely BOTH lipreading and sounds to understand a person (I can't understand without one of each... that is I can't understand lipreading alone, and I can't understand listening alone.. I have to have both).
