My name is carrie and I live in Alberta, Canada. When I was four I wasn't responding to loud noises and my voice quality was poor, they tested my hearing and I had a severe loss, 85db to 90db all most profound, I was fitted with two body aids. I heard sounds not word, lip reading was the way I understood what people were saying. The school system wanted me to go to the school for thhe deaf, but my parents wanted me to remain oral so I went regular school. My hearing loss is now 105db to 120db. like to travel, enjoy sports, I know woman don't enjoy sports, but I do, I like to play on the internet.

Hi there..I am a woman and I was a serious athlete growing up. Fast-pitching softball and on the swimming team for many years. There are a lot of women who are serious athletes nowadays.
