Hi guys,

I'm not deaf, but my sister is. She is completely deaf, even with the hearing aid, she only hears a faint buzz or some sort of noise I believe. Anyways, what drove me to this forum is because I want to find some useful information in regard to Deaf clubs or schools. I want to enroll my sister which is currently 29 years of age to some sort of school or club or even a driving school so she can get her drivers license. I just want her to meet some other deaf people whom she can communicate with. We live in the state of California, USA (socal). So far with my limited time in searching, I've found there is a school for the deaf in riverside, but i'm not sure what the cost is or if that is even a good option to consider. Remember, the reason for this is for her to make new friends. So beit school, organizations, volunteer services, etc. All useful information would help me greatly.

Thanks,

Her Brother.

:welcome: to AD! Does your sister want to go to a deaf school or to deaf events? If she wants to go to school, she should check out CSUN...they have a deaf program.

Deaf Education at CSUN

There's two in California, Riverside and Fremont. Don't be shy to visit their website, just google for "Riverside school for the Deaf" or "Fremont school for the Deaf", you will find their website, it's not that hard to find the informations about the deaf schools :)

Feel welcome! And invite your sis too! :D
