:gpost: Based on this tract, Heath, I presume you don't attend a megachurch. Neither do I. In fact, the music in most churches I can't stand and this is my biggest pet peeve, which explains why I can't find a decent church here in my town. Any ideas, Heath? Feel free to pm me if you want to keep your response off this.

The picture doesn't show up on my computer. :( It doesn't even show the place holder.

It worked ok with my browser. The pictures showed and all that.

Pek1, hope you do not mind me share with you
that I used to have a difficult time to find a decent
church for years until someone else approached me
with a suggestion that I should pray to the Lord and
ask the Lord to guide me toward the right kind
of church. After some prayers to the Lord,
good enough I bumped into an old friend at
our local grocery shopping she "invited me" to
go to that particular church I KNEW it was
really from the Lord guiding me toward this
right kind of church for me !!
When she saw me showing up at her church,
she started to cry and weep with lots of Joy.

Yeah Reba?

Try re-starting your computer and see how it goes. My computer is fine.

I hate those crappy religious pamplets. I remember getting these while trick-or-treating during Halloween. My friends and I had a system of communicating. We would meet from time to time and spread the word of which house was which. A few houses that we avoided were the ones giving out these religious pamplets. Whenever I got them, I just threw them away.

I get them every Saturday mornings, at the door, grrr.

I collect them for my collection of such things so people who would believe such things won't find them.

I guess you know what they do with paper in Mexico.

Beo, prolly the same thing people did years ago when they got that special three-balsam-slatted box of peaches from Florida wherein each peach was lovingly wrapped in tissue paper.

Well......sure beats using corncobs!!!!!!!!!!
Religious tracts DO NOT work. It's exactly like the folks who go around door to door "witnessing" .....Even devoutly religious people think that stuff like that is OVER the top. Most of the time, people either make fun of the tracts or throw them away.

Vampy, I'm not surprised what you said. Why? Because of your username, avatar, and signature that signify evil clearly. Not only by your post here but with other posts that clearly tells.

Good and evil doesn't mix. Pardon me, if I may be blunt so don't bark at me since it's your business. It's only way I can notice. It should explain why it kept you in the dark clouds trying to understand some biblical stuff.

By the way, you seem to have some brains, use it and seek its truth. Ask yourself, do you refer evil over good or good over evil? Maybe the better question: Do you believe that there is a real hell out there as the Bible describes?

I don't find pamphets bothersome, really. It's one of ways they want to send the message to the people they care and want them saved. So what is the problem here, Vampy?

My name has nothing to do with my religious beliefs. If I want information, I'll ask for it. I don't need information handed to me or shoved in my face. Traditional trick-or-treating involves... candy and snacks. A religious pamplet is not a snack or anything edible. What if a Muslim kid went to that house? How do you think he would feel if he received that pamplet?

As for good and evil, I choose good over evil. However, I don't need God or the Bible to be good. I can be good without God or the Bible.

Excellent post Vampy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do believe in God, but I believe in my OWN God, that is the God of love and kindness. I don't believe in the Christian God, and I don't believe that you have to be Christian-holy to be SAVED. If you've known love, then you have known God, and known Jesus. If you try to be the best person you can be....then you will go to whatever good place there is after this existance.

DD--Would "Christian-holy" in your mind be like the modern version of the Pharisees' behavior?

P.S.: That image does not come off as very loving...what happened to the advice of St. Paul that Christians are to teach lovingly and gently???

True that it's your own business what to believe in like I said. I know I was so blunt, but the truth sticks, however.

I just want to point as why you use your signature "bloody phreak from hell" and "VamPyroX" which is evil words obviously yet you choose good over evil. Such a strange twist so why you use it?

I may agree that it may be wrong for them to hand you religious pamphets during the Halloween trick or treat hours.

As a believer, I don't/didn't give out candies or pamphets even during the Halloween hours because I'm totally against it. Halloween actually started as the Day of the Dead celebration in the distant past and they still practice it nowadays but for their "fun" ways, actually. They may have attempting to get you and friends saved and stay away from this practice by handing you those pamphets.
