New ASL Learner!

I am getting ready to transfer to Portland community college to take the ASL interpreting program. My name is Cari Mercer. I am currently taking my 2nd asl class. i know a little bit but I would love to be exposed to more!!! Anyone willing to help please let me know!

I dont have a name sign yet so I have to just finger spell. I do have a pretty big asl vocab.

Hi Cari.

I to am entering the interpreter program :) But I am going to a school in BC Canada. That is if I pass the screening weekend. Do you have something like that?
 
I am SOOOO sorry that it took me so long to write you back. I have finally settled and LOVE its here. We have an entrance test. It is kind of like a placement test. Then next fall I take another one and have to be at intermediate to get into the real program and have two years left till I graduate.
Then I will take state tests that will make me an interpreter.

I also am working toward interpretership. I am going to be taking my second ASL class in the winter quarter here in Washington State.
 
Welcome too. I'm also learning Sign Language but for the fun and love of the Langauge :) Good Luck!
 
[ahem] Mrs. Mercer, do you happen to know Joy Bradley who live in there. I believe she is teaching ASL.
