Hi.. My name is Tori and I just moved from Texas to Kansas.
I am very interested in the Deaf community and in TX we had an ASL class.. well they don't here. I was wondering if anyone knew any places i could keep up with the culture here and be in touch with the community.

P.S I live in desoto KS about 30 minutes out from Overland Park and JCCC (Johnson County Community College)
 
Hi and welcome. I saw online that clearview baptist church has deaf services, perhaps you could go see if you could make friends. Olathe has a strong deaf community, is it nearby?
 
It is in fact. Not but 15 minutes to drive to.
I saw on the K-10 highway a Deaf Cofference Center but had other plans and could not pursue it at that time. Do you know what that would be?

Where would i go in Olathe to find friends lol?

Sorry for all the questions. I just don't know where to start.

Whole town. It has a deaf school and a big deaf population.
