Hi, Travis: I am not in Saskatchewan and so can't vote. But I agree communication with police is a problem and can be dangerous. I also am concerned about police guns and the Taser (electric).

Have you read the thread by Christian/BergC? He is a hearing policeman. He had good ideas about communicating with police. Some suggestions for Law Enforcement. I could use your help. The replies might help you about police. :)

I read "Some suggestions for Law Enforcement. I could use your help" on the website. They have a lot of good questions about "what if?" if approach with the police officers in a traffic situation. This nice policeman Christian Berg (I believe that must be his real name) is good to give us information about how to do to keep calm and not go panicky over what the police officer try to call us when we could not hear them. I will definitely stay in the car and put my hands on the steering wheel and wait for their response before reaching for my pad and pen plus my driver's license and registration paper. It can be very scary when we don't know anything about how to face in front of a police officer. I guess we can learn how to use their guideline like this for future emergencies. Also I like the questions about the emergency calls like 911 and having to put panic buttons or other devices so that we don't have to use the relay service and still have someone to come over less than five minutes instead of one hour for many questions for the relay service. I am very interest in this and I am learning about that very much so thank you for giving the Website for Law Enforcement guideline.
