guess no one here to help me :-/

This file extension (.gif) is for graphic image (not quite a photo). Most popular extension is .jpg which is a photograph. That's what you need to open your [filename].jpg.

I think I might not able to help you if you are using an IBM PC.

Let's try this to see what happens. You need to make a copy of your filename and change it from [filename].gif to [filename].jpg. I do not want your original file to be overwritten. Then, you open the filename.jpg to see if it is a photo.

(i.e. Let's say that you have a happyface.gif. Copy that file then change it from happyface.gif to happyface2.jpg)

If you use a clip motion, the filename extension probably is .mov .

You need to upgrade your software's version on Sony's support website. A download should be free - you have check that out on the internet. Good luck!
