Does anyone have any asl books that they don't need anymore:cool:. I want to start trying to teach myself some more signs and fingerspelling before i take asl classes which mite not be for another year. I'm leaving for florida for a week on sunday so if you reply after that and i don't its not that im ignoring anyone..its cuz im away and computerless!!!:) They have asl books at the library but i don't want to have to return them and re-sign out plus my library u have to request alot cuz its small and i dont want to have to wait lol
 
Go to your nearby public library and empty the shelves of all ASL text books. That's what I do (mostly) anyways.
 
it's really hard to get books from library on asl alot of the good one you have to go on waiting list for them which stinks
 
Go with videos

Videos are clearer than books. Even the best ASL dictionary can't describe some signs well enough to be understood. They may show the basic handshape, but not the movement or facial expressions properly. The Bravo Family videos are excellent for beginners and so is ASLPro.com Home. It's an online ASL dictionary. I'd give you a few more recommendations, but my stuff is in storage and I can't remmy names.
