Nearly all of Detroit's schools closed due to sickouts

I wouldn't want my child going school that had dead rats in it and mildew
all over the ceiling. GROSS !

Yike!!! Detroit schools are GROSS. :barf:

In Alabama, we are living in 3rd most poorest state but most inner city schools are in good condition because my state and federal funded to build new schools to replace the aging schools.

Just terrible!

I was reading about this and also the Flint water thing and the whole thing is just...so wrong...environmental racism...

<one of the things I read about with Flint is that the city had no grocery store - so now, literally no food and no water!>

Tax payers in my city are now paying for a new elementary school , repairs on the middle school and a high school build about 15 years ago plus a new senior/ community center . So the city had to over value our condos to increase our property taxes ! An inlaid floor cost over $60,000 and people wanted to now how does this help kids do better in school .
