Scientists have found that the optical fibers of the sponge Euplectella, left, are similar to, and perhaps more advanced, than today's state-of-the-art fiber optics.

Hmm... I can imagine in the future when they announce that in order to make our internet connection faster and smoother, we simply shove the internet plug up a dog's ass! Hehehe!
