I've had my Naidas for about 18 months and have used one set of adult ear hooks since getting them.

Yesterday my Audi gave me a set of junior ear hooks which are so much better for me personally.

Something that I've noticed when I changed them over, is that the junior ear hooks are tighter on my hearing aids and my adult ear hooks are loose even tho they have been tighten as much as they will go (ear hook was flush against the HA).

I have been reading about Naida ear hooks and I've read nothing about the ear hook wearing over time but a lot on the white filter inside. They say the ear hook should be changed regularly due to the filter.

Has anyone had
The thread on the ear hooks loosen over time?
Have you had to replace the ear hook due to the white filter inside?
Should I be replacing them more often?
My audi order 10 in so he has more that I can grab, is it sensible to have spares?

Thanks :)

I have never replaced the hook on my Naida. Have no problems with sound quality, so I'm not worried about it. When sounds start sounding bad, then I'll bug my HA audie about it. Exact same set up with my Naida for 2 years and 3ish months, only 1 filter on the bottom of the battery door replaced and that's it.

I think someone on here had the white filter thingy taken out of her Naida's hooks long ago and she said it sounded better with the filter gone.

Thanks.

I've just had a audi tell me on a private FB page that the ear hooks won't last that long due to the thread wearing which will eventually cause feedback. Altho I did notice that the thread was looser, it wasn't causing feedback. Think I will ask for more spares just in case.

My ear hooks lasted 16 years on my Superfront aids without having to be replaced so I'm hoping I don't have any trouble.

Hmmm.
I have wondered about the ear hook filter. I've had the same Naidas for almost 2 years but have never replaced the ear hook.
The microphone filters have fallen off which sucks because sound is so distorted and the aids aren't waterproof without them. As luck always has it, the mic protector falls off a day before a week long rainy period.

Do you not have spare mic protectors with you? They really are not that much to buy or ask your Audi for them. I carry a few about as once before, one dropped off when I was out shopping.

I only lost the 1 filter on the battery door cause I was curious and accidentally poked it out... oops. But do not have any issues with the other filters falling out or coming loose. ....
