Before I created AllDeaf and DeafModels (soon to be upgraded), I came up with DeafAvenue (no longer online), my very first website! My first forum was also created on that old site, and you can see what it once looked like at http://web.archive.org/web/20010409111819/deafavenue.com/forum/index.htm

If you want to know what DeafAvenue.com looked like back then, you can do so by going to http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.deafavenue.com

Things changed a lot since then.

wow I actually never knew about the deafavenue site... cool  comparing alldeaf to that old site, this site have more technology and I know later on would be much better... you ROCK Alex!

That was your first forum? I remember that forum! I saw a few of my friends looking at that site a few years ago!

Way cool Alex! Thanks for giving us the link. Ah, the good old days...... :D

It does look like you were very much drawn to creating online communities geared towards the Deaf folks. :D
Do you think you will make more forums in the near future?

Did you and kevbo know each other in person back then, too? haha

WOW.. its cool.. it brought you some memories.. Alex? yeah I am sure..
Thanks for sharing this... its interesting to see all those old times.. change alot to present..
sometimes we like old times.. than new times.. seems that new times are more confused or easy.. than old times..

Great.. thanks Alex :thumb:

:D I have the utmost respect for Alex because not only he responds to my PMs immediately and he also gives suggestions. I often wish certain AD members would respect Alex and his forum now because after what Alex posted in his very first forum. He does practice what he preaches about being an advocate for Deaf people. Now, I know little about Alex and already he has shown he does a lot for the Deaf community. I already get the vibe that Alex is well-respected in his community. Take a look at what he posted at his very first forum... his self-introduction. This is a man that is not bragging but is humble.

Comment: I don't know why, but I've always been helpful to the Deaf community, whether it's interpreting for them, filling out applications with them for good-paying jobs, and now providing a fun-to-hang-out website for all my Deaf friends. I've donated, and I still do, my time and money into Deaf Avenue, all with pleasure. And I hope you guys enjoy what Deaf Avenue has to offer.

I'm really glad now that we have taken the postwhoring issue seriously and the post count issue at hand, too. It is showing respect to Alex and his ADv2 forum. :applause: To everyone that too initative to do it and I can say PAH!! for group work! *winksa!*

VamPyroX: Yea, that was my first website, including the forum. DeafAvenue.com was a lot of work so I narrowed it down to the most popular section back then -- Deaf Models.

Freaky: Thanks! :o
