Hi,,, I am big fan Need For Speed myself for 4 yrs.
I retired for Porsche Unleashed & High Stakes (love it).
I downloaded demo for Hot Pursuit 2 and its sucks!!! :(
I played Motorcity Online. Its #1 for me. I loved 1974 Firebird Formula and 1967 Cobra 427. Now EA closed MCO for no reason. When EA closed MCO, I started to retire NFS. I still pissed off at EA.
I have not play Underground yet because I am taking a night couses. I don't know how long I can play Underground.
You can visit www.needforbetterspeed.net.

I stopped racing for awhile but not know when I can back and play.

Did you play High Stakes online? my old persona was FollowMe and WhoCare.

I did play some HS online but hadnt played on EA.com for both Porsche Unleashed and High Stakes since 2000. I m not sure if I raced against u online (pardon me since my memory's pretty rusty)

The reason why NFS6 HP2 sucked on PC was that EA Seattle did the PC version instead of EA Black Box (the developers of the PS2 version that didnt suck big time)

I had so much love for the NFS series in the past starting with the Road & Track presents Need For Speed on the Sega Saturn way back in '96. Nowadays I play more Project Gotham Racing 1 and 2 than the NFS series.

I would, but unfortunately my PC at home died a long time ago and I lost my NFS collection along with my other Windows 95 game discs.

When I get my hands on another PC, I'll take you on someday if I can also grab a replacement for the NFS collection (right now they just released NFS 2 thru NFS6 HP2 in one package at the wally world)

Oh one thing about NASCAR Thunder and NASCAR games in general....I did play NT 2002 with my PS2, but NASCAR games are not exactly my cup of tea since its mostly ovals with the expection of Watkins Glen and Infineon Sears Pointe Speedway. Besides the cars are just basically the same thing except for the body and engine.

:fingersx: some developer could figure a way to put in the 14 mile Nurburgring Nordschleife track in a NASCAR game but pigs will fly before that could be acheived  (BTW I pulled off a 6:30 lap at the Nurburgring Nordschleife with a Porsche 911 GT1 in Project Gotham 2. That is only 15 seconds off the real-life lap record of 6:15 by a guy driving a Porsche race car in 1983 during the 24 hour race at the Nordschleife)

Sure, I can wait. When you get NFS, Let me know and will send you some patches for improving grahpics, no lags in TCP/IP blah blah. I think there are 4 patches.

Sorry, There are 3 patches. I checked at Need For Better Speed in download page.

At Need For Better SPeed, there are really really good informations for everything for racing games.

UPDATE:

Last night I picked up the sequel to "Pro Race Driver", "TOCA Race Driver 2".

I finally had a chance to compare 2 virtual versions of the Mazda Laguna-Seca raceway that is out in Montrerey, CA in real life.

As I remember the Laguna-Seca from Gran Turismo 2 and Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec, the "Corkscrew" S-bend in both Gran Turismo games were deeper and narrower. While playing TOCA Race Driver 2's version using the 1968 Mustang, I noticed a huge difference in the "Corkscrew" that it was higher and shallower. I also have to say something unusual about the lap times in both versions of the Laguna-Seca track..... Driving a Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 Nismo edition in GT3 A-Spec, my lap times were usually in the 1:20's, but with TOCA Race Driver 2 and the same 1968 Mustang, a lap was worth 1:17.xx.

I also have to say there was something really funny about TOCA Race Driver 2: ..... Racing big-ass Kenworth-type trucks (without trailers, mind ya). Trust me, the trucks were a bitch to drive on a narrow race track! Braking these mutha's take so long than a Ferrari can do! Not to mention the steering....figure it out, man.

The only thing I gotta bitch about TOCA Race Driver 2 (and same for Pro Race Driver 1) is the cutscenes aint got subtitles, but I dont care....all I wanna is race!
