My sidekick 2 cellphone fk'd up and dead :(

HI all,

I ride on the bus, and I use a AIM msg to my gf, and till network went down, I rebooted the SK2, I gets the SIM card looks like messed up, probably an error or something.. till I get home my SK2 still not working then I called the tech support they said recommend to upgrade to new SK3 cellphone.. what do you think about my SK2 went fk'd up and dead???

mate, your skidekick 2 sounds like it just gave up. time for the sk3 to come in hand. the sk3 is good, no matter what.

Yeah... that's probably the case.

My friend had a SKII and he had similar problems. Since T-Mobile no longer had SKII, he had to upgrade to SK3. :(
 
I am not sure if I told you about my SK2 being fked up and it had crack where SIM card was... I had to wait until I went back to work and made more $$$ to upgrade to SK3... its much better than SK2, trust me...
 
I dont know if Sidekick is good idea since they always make new device every 2 to 3 years. I like something that last longer than 5 years then get new model afterward.
 
That sucks, man. I have a sidekick 2 laying around here and it works fine, but the keyboard panel is warped, though. I use a AT&T 8525 right now and don't use sidekick anymore.
 
Other suggestion is get Blackberry? I plan to get one one day. My SK isn't great anymore either...the jump button isn't working and the keyboard the rubber pad is about to peel off. Oh well!
 
Same here did happen to my SK2 is dead. I try open email inbox but didnt working right then had to reboot....all sudden notice window acting behave wierdo....signal start fuck up, couldn't start chat instant message and wheel start warp till dead...that is it. I am happy with BB 8700g so far.

Hi rachel,

I got a email from my county case manager, they can order an upgrade to SK3 for me pah! That nice have a county pays for an upgrades, then I can do pay on my own bills (walk into equipment medical company to pay a cellphone service).

me too! I left always my skII online, whatever AIM and Email etc.., but it got problem for Email-network. I haven´t received any Email from my friends. they told me, just sent. I puzzled, where is another Email? It is not coming on my SKII...my sk left still by Service.
I am mad at SKII right now. *jeeez*

yup yup same here.. did u call tmobile??
 
nothing wrong with Tmobile. It's everybody who left AIM online too long, cause network become tired and screw up.

nope u are wrong abt this .. i dont left my aim on all night or whatever and it caused my pgr plms..
 
It looks that the SK company want to stop networking on old SKs.

A wireless telephone company shut down the network for old cell phones, and made them to buy a new one with a new contract. It probably is doing the same thing for SK company.

it's just you. I have know most of my closer friends who left AIM on in away mode. Maybe it's sad that Tmobile cannot handle that huge bandwidth.

Did i call tmobile?.. really, no! I gave it to my friend, he is work for Service Phonehouse/ Tmobile. I will be get my sk tonite or tmw. I can´t life without my sk, already about 3 1/2 weeks *aaaargh* That is enough for my patience to waiting *sigh*
 
The SideKick has went down signal and getting viruses. The viruses do impact the device become no good and the technical support will say, its best to upgrade SideKick 3 or ID. Yea yea yea, they just want our money with that junk SideKick. Tmobile need upgrading their server for SideKick. I don't know about Blackberry since their signal might problem.

I use or am former of Sidekick of those brands. The SideKick seems not suit or useful. I wish they were doing better at first time they release Sidekick and Sidekick color. It has no problem until friend told that I send them twice, or 6 hours late of delivery email. It remind me of Wyndtell do those stuff.

So I go back to BlackBerry, I am happy with that device from Cingular due coverage, I don't care about price because I am depend on coverage than the looks or how pretty the device turn out that way. I am interesting fast respond within 2 to 5 seconds. My friend and I had blackberry and life three different state, we get that respond under 5 seconds.

Right now that cingular offer BlackBerry for 20 dollars of 8700c Refurb or free of 7290 Refurb.

Other word about AIM, I use JiveBee, I am happy to use that software for blackberry.

I am looking forward to upgrade my Blackberry that has media, so I can check sign mail. It would be easier if Sidekick has one but SideKick seems fail to promise.

Other than BlackBerry; I do met person who bought the iPhone and not happy with those feature. My understanding that not easy to replace the battery but has to mail that device. You still have to pay for replace battery include labor.

I think that-- that silly.

The last thing I am looking forward of ATT offer video stream mean real live but that time is one way not two way like videophone.

I am looking forward one, I don't know if they will release that program or software for two way? Will that affect increase business profit for them but what costs are service and device that I am little bit worry. ;)

Seem we are expensive!
