My niece from France is coming to NYC next week for 10 days.
I am hearing. We live in the East Village. She is deaf. In her 20s.
She loves museums & art (she is an art museum guide for deaf people in Paris)
Any suggestions on things for her to do that would allow her to connect with the deaf community in NYC?
Thanks in advance.

JCM-Before your niece can "connect" to Deaf groups in NYC does she ASL? I understand FSL is "different".
Hope her stay is enjoyable.

JCM Hope your Deaf niece enjoyed the 10 stay in NYC recently.
Cheers

Does she want to use this visit time to meet deaf people? Or does she want to visit you, her family, and the tourist sites (especially art museums) of NYC? Just visiting the museums will take a lot of time.

Maybe when you contact the museums, you can ask if they, too, have deaf guides such as your niece is. That could be a start.
