Nice. Details?

However, I would not call it a "toy." Gives the wrong vibe.

Reba, with all due respect. Some call 'em tools, others calls 'em toys. Sono can call it what he wants. Lets not rain on his parade.

Its a DPMS M&P AR15 5.56cal, 18" chrome alloy lined barrel. Has quad rail with laser optical sight ( has red and green lasers with various sight settings ( circle/cross, dots, squares) magpul front grip and flash surpressor. Nice deal for $750 completely dressed. (2) 30 rd mags.

No harm done, here we call them everything from burners, grave makers, toys, tools... its endless. But I agree with Reba in a ways due to all the attention that guns have been getting lately, Toy really isnt a great term, but its a Toy to me... playing at the range or a tool when I go hunting this year !

Of course, he can. I posted that I would not call it a toy.

I doubt that my post rained on his parade. I said it was "nice." :)

So, have you tried it out yet?

Not yet, planning to hit the range this weekend. If nice out Ill go to the outdoor range ($3 to shoot) compared to the $30 all day at the indoor range.

I bought a full case of ammo discounted so I got enough to have fun.

Reba, I contacted my CCW instructor ( he is a police officer and Military ) and he has some certified instructors on his team, so we are going to set a time to get together and do some training. Ive ordered a laser bore sight to sight the rifle in before I go shooting ( saves ammo with a bore sight ) My cousin has property and hopefull get out there when it gets nice. They grow all types of mellons on the fields so we can eat and shoot up lol

You got a great price with how it is equipped.

Make sure you have plenty of land beyond your target. My Bushmaster (.223) can touch you at up to 600 yards. Nice thing about an AR is it usually likes all brands of ammo. Wolf steel case is my favorite.

I forgot to tell you, buy a plastic brass catcher. Much easier than picking up hundreds of rounds out of the grass. Drops right in over the ejector after the door is open.

I was just looking at a zippered mesh one, cheap and easy to empty.

Its amazing but Amazon carries quite a bit of gun stuff really cheap that I have been looking at online. Check it out for parts and accessories.

Not to mention, it makes life better for any other shooters standing to the right of you. :giggle:

Otherwise, you'll always have to position yourself on the far right side of the range to not bother other shooters. :D

Wait til it gets dark, pop some tracers in it. And..Yeah.....

The ranges I go to have walls, and when shooting you are constantly kicking shells out of the way. I dont reload but my cousin does, so may be cheaper to keep and let him have them to reload ( but I dont like reloads because they are known to jam often in a semi auto ( rifle and pistols alike )

Nobody I know reloads .223.

Whenever I shot at the indoor range, I could use FMJ. Now they allow lead tipped only. When you are outdoors, try the orange shooting balls or even a plastic milk container with cap. If you fill the container with water and shoot it, makes impressive sprays. When it is empty, keep firing at it and you can keep it twirling and suspended in the air. :)
