Hello everyone,
My name is Nathan and I'm an 18 year old hearing male from London in the UK.
I discovered the TV show 'Switched at Birth' one day and it opened my eyes to American Sign Language as well as some aspects of deaf culture in the United States which I've come to admire greatly.
I developed an interest in sign language, so I've been studying ASL signs for the past 6-7 months using an ASL dictionary website and I can communicate in Pidgin Signed English at an intermediate level as a result of this.
After realising that ASL / PSE isn't exactly useful for me in the UK, I began learning British Sign Language, although I don't know enough to properly converse yet.
Other interests include:
- programming
- running / walking in cool places
- watching TV series' and movies
- discussing religion / politics
- hating on Trump
- endorsing Atheism
- relaxing in bed with a cup of tea
