Abby was supposed to have surgery on the 13th but we got it moved up and she had it on Wednesday. She is doing well and today she said she has felt better. Her bandages were removed this morning. Right now we have the incision coated in neosporin and she has cotton ball in her ear coated with neosporing.

Great news! Please give her a sweet  from me (even though she doesn't know me, I'm sure she will appreciate any hug she can have right now!)

I will. She is feeling a bit better today but she is in bed now trying to sleep a little before a few friends come over later.

Thats great to hear... Perfectly normal for her to feel tired. I was knackered for 2 weeks!!! and often sleep in the afternoons.

Keep us updated.

And of course few hugs is needed (((((hugs)))))

I think sleep is a good thing. It will take her some time getting used to the CI  If she has any questions, just let her post them here too (or you could post the questions for her).... whatever you are comfortable with!

It's going to be a big change for her! So happy to know she is feeling fine though! :D

Feeling exhausted is normal. I was tired for a week before I started to feel like myself again.

I'm happy all went well with your daughter's surgery! :)

Glad that your daughters surgery went well. How old is she? Good that she's having some friends over..friends always make me happy when I'm recooperating:) Sleep is good for the body so tell her to sleep away! lol Just curious what CI brand did she get?
Hugs

She is 16 almost 17. She turns 17 in June. She got an Advanced Bionics Harmony CI. She had some fun yesterday with her friends they played some board games.

Today she says doesn't feel tired or exhausted. But she will probably in bed early tonight.
