Sussi passed away peaceful today after long illness aged 22. I´m sure some of you remember my thread, I updated about her.

http://www.alldeaf.com/our-pets/45300-do-you-experience-your-pets-alzheimer.html

Her 3rd mammary tumor came again last April, she gave up to cure it herself. She don´t eat her own tumor anymore like she did first and second tumor. Her mammary tumor grow bigger as Grapefruit size.

I noticed Sussi hide more and more. Example: She went to somewhere to hide after finish eat her foods and litter for her business. It look like that she knew that she is going to die... I was told that a lot of animals knew they are going die and hide somewhere and prepare to die. She came back for her evening supper and sit with us... then go back to hide herself. We haven´t see her for 2 days but we are looking for her but she really have good hide... We know she is somewhere in our house. I asked my boys to help us to hear where she is... Therefore no but we have little strange smell something like rotten meat. Where? We don´t have meat in the fridge because we buy meat at butcher shop before go home and cook our evening meal straight way. ??? We suspect that it could be cat food due hot weather...

The smell come worst as we went to basement to get the bottle of drink. We went to next room to check the smell but smell is not strong enough like we were in storage room for get drink... We feel that it´s Sussi. We keep on sniff the smell until we spot some bloods. We found her hide behind of oil heater. The wound of her mammary tumor break and open wound. We suspect that Sussi crawl and let her wound press on the floor and break - blood... We were horrified to see a lot of maggots are everywhere on her open wound tumor. She was still alive and moan... moan... How long will she stay alive with that situtation? I cried soo hard... Oh no, we called the Vet and then brought her to the Vet. The vet gave us time to loving comfort Sussi and then let the Vet put her sleep. We put her in the shoe box with lid and leave her in our living room and will bury her next Kim tomorrow.

I am still crying. We have her for almost 23 years since we adopted her as 6 weeks old kitten on 7th July 1986, few months before our 1st wedding anniversary. We have wonderful years with her for almost 23 years... We can´t beleive that she really gone... Oh yes, we prepare for almost 2 years over her illness.

Dear ADers,

I´m sure that you noticed that I didn´t response most of your posts and PM much lately since I was worried over her and can´t find Sussi for 2 days. Please remember that I don´t ignore your questions in several threads. I will response your posts when I feel better and fit... I noticed yesterday that I am not good to make posts.

R.I.P. my loving Sussi, :ty: Sussi for give us joy for almost 23 years. You will never forget and miss by us.

Oh my dear Liebling.. I'm crying with you too.

I recall a lot of beautiful memories of Sussi. How Sussi would love to eat spaghetti, spinach and leftover foods that your boys left on the table.. Sussi cleared it off.

Sussi loved to sleep in your doll's buggy.

Sussi, thank you so much for bringing so much joy and happiness to Liebling and the family. You have no idea how much of a legacy you have left behind.

Rest in peace dear Sussi, no more pain for you dear beautiful girl.

Hugs to you Liebling and your family.

Hubby and I know your pain.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved pet. This brings tears to my eyes. Having put down 4 pets of my own I know all too well the sorrow that brings. You had 22 wonderful years with Sussi.

Aww

I'm so deeply sorry to hear about your cat's death.

I know what it is like to lose a pet. You've talked about Sussi often in various threads and I feel like I have known Sussi as much as you do.

My heart goes out to you, girl. Hang in there.

I am so sorry about your cat's loss. She is in the heaven. Sussi was pleased to live with you and your family for many years. She had so much enjoyed in her time. Sussi thanked you for feeding her and lived for so long. Amend.

So sorry to hear about your cat, she sure live her live and now she is at peace where she no longer suffers anymore.

Do hang in there

Wow, 22 years old? That's not something you see everyday. I've met cats that were 18 or 19 years old in the past.

She definitely lived a long, long life. I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

Moderator,

Sorry, I thought today is 17th... Could you please change and correct the date for me. It should be 18th, not 17th because she died today, not yesterday.

:ty: everyone for your loving support.

It´s good that you remember my posts about her for years.

She should be 23 years old next 2 weeks time (7th July 2009). We gave her salmone or Tuna and cream on her birthday every year. I can´t image for not celebrate with her anymore next 2 weeks time...

I am still grieving... and feel really low... but I am glad to have 2 cats around but I still miss Sussi terrible...
