What kind of music do you like, what bands, albums, etc? Since I have a CI now, I am starting to listen to different kinds of music, different CDs, etc. I posted this in General because I am curious what everyone likes, regardless of whether they have a CI, HA, are hoh, hearing, deaf, etc.

Right now I am listening to Depeche Mode. :)

I like to listen to country music, soft rock n roll, classical, and blues.. :)

i am listening to Alabama.. :)

Even though I am profoundly deaf with no CI's, I like music from the 80s like Duran Duran, Bon Jovi (damn that Jon Bon Jovi is DELICOUS!!!), Prince, Madonna, and The Cure. The 90s were Nirvana, INXS, and club music.

I guess I like the sounds of the musical instruments rather than their voices. I used to memorize all their lyrics so I could sign along with them..with enough practice, I was able to follow some quite well.

I like listening to my fave band Savage Garden, classic rock, the 70's, relaxing instrumental music (panpipe, keyboard, flute) and some country music. I am severe to profoundly deaf and wear a hearing aid.
For song words, some CD have the song lyrics inside which I can follow or I find some lyrics online to print out. Some songs I can follow without the lyric.

I like jazz, oldies, instrumental music, and video game music the most. I like almost everything except rap and hip-hop.

I listen to mostly country music. I have turned my wife into a hill-billie-hick and she loves country too, and she is deaf.

I listen to classical style music of my own country. it's different from western classical music.

I love listening to mostly sensual and loving songs and rhythms.

Here is an example

I do like Sarah Brightman, she has beautiful voice, it give me goosebump.
I do like Classical music it is relaxing music.

I like mostly classic rock from the 70's and early 80's. I also like folk, some country, and almost anything that sounds good. I play mostly classic rock on guitar and a lot of acoustic stuff. I like a lot of bands but Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are probably my 2 all time favorite bands.

I listen to mostly Country!! So many people & bands I listen to & love I wouldn't know where to start:)

I like to listen to most any music but judging from the lyrics that I've read online, I think I'd enjoy punk, goth and metal the most.

I like listening to rap with bass maxed out. I remember one lady at SHHH giving me a strange look when I told her that. I told her that I liked to listen to country music and she told me if I understood the songs, I'd not like it as much. When I got to see some closed captioned songs on TV, I had to admit she was right. I like most any music with bass sounds as it's what I hear best.

I like classical music as well because that's what my sisters did when they took music lesson. One of my sisters majored in music and she's a music teacher.

Too bad I can not play most instruments well. I know one 4th generation Deaf who can play the piano better than I can.

Oh yeah! I remember those bands. I used to like to listen to Duran Duran, Madonna, The Cure. I listened to Thriller so many times that it's the only song that I could recognize. It always began with a scream.

Yeah, vocals are hard to listen to. I can't hear high pitched sounds very well so I tend to go for instruments rather than vocals and in Madonna's case, the visuals.

I love to listen rock music, including alternative, metal and punk, and some hip hop.
