warns for students dont let getaways without knowledges of parents's permission to mexico on Spring Break like sneak as 18 years old or over its very serious! better stay away from mexico not meet nice boys in mexico or have sex NEVER.Dont let your children going mexico for spring break without your permission if you have permission with kids going to mexico that fine! I watch movie of real cancun years ago i cant remind in my mind its very warns for students!

i know this is stupid for someone to kidnap a group of teenagers on spring break but lucky they were found whew they were not alone they were with tour guide and group of people when it happens BUT guatemala is dangerous place.

IT CAN HAPPENS no matter what it can happened with family too.
 
Every year there is some bad happening on spring break to US students in exotic locals. Last I remember Natalie Holloway.
 
Sara.... About couple weeks ago, I read news that they dump dead bodies without head at near USA Border (El Paso, TX). It was not first time story. A year ago, same story but big different local at near to San Diego, CA.

i watch Jennifer Lopez's movie about Mexico and got dead dump somewhere in Mexico and im sure no pics but its true story! i watch her movie of Bordertown and someone says women got rape with bus driver they wont tell anyone and kept secret for years till newspaper reporter gets truth but newspaper reporter cant selling that story!! im so shock in movie story im not jokes but Jennifer Lopez who play newspaper reporter in movie.

mostly mexico resident who works for newspapers reporters or news reporters have hard times to show like sell newspapers or television but im sure the police protect and no sell!
 
IMHO, it is ridiculous to go on a trip to Mexico right now. I assure you that many universities in CA, AZ, TX, and NM are telling their students to avoid Mexico. I live in Tucson, Az. Right now, we are at the war with drug cartels in Mexico.

A few days ago, a local news did a report about AZ/Mexico border that drug cartels have used grenade, and shooting their AK-47. Also, Mexican cartels are trying to recruit American teenagers to be the "look out." They would pay teenagers a lot of money to kill someone in the U.S. I have a Mexican friend who has two houses, one is in orange county, Ca, and Tijuana, Mexico. He said that last summer was his first time to see several dead bodies close to his house which is considered a wealthy neighborhood. He saw bodies that had been beheaded. He told me that he is going to sell his house and never set a foot back in Mexico until things have gotten better.

Right now, there is a talking about putting U.S. troops on the border, but we are waiting on our governor to make a decision.

Yes, that is a city called Ciudad Juarez. The movie is not completely real, but based on a true event. They are doing femicide in Mexico, and south America countries. It happens everyday and young women are still being killed. Right now, it is about 1,000 women has been killed since 10 years or so. My younger sister was a politic science major and she did her paper on it. Young women were getting killed, raped, and gone missing because they were woman. They work at sweatshop and some people are saying it has something to do with Federal Free Trade. No one really knows why.

I really don't want to hijack the thread. The reason I said that, it has to do with our businesses being moved to China. We are buying our supplies in China not here so China is making money off of our money. So actually, we are sending our U.S. dollars to China. We are contributing their wealthy by buying their products.

Unfortunately, there is corruption runs deep in US and Mexican governments due to the trades of guns and drugs, and it must be prevented. The new fences across the border is almost done, and it'll slow them down, but it'll never stop them from coming. I'm disappointed Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, the drug cartel, made it to the Forbes billionaries list. It's sad cartels recruit child assassins.

I remember that Pablo Escobar was billionaries list in Forbes Magazine. He was drug kingpin.

One evening, 6 motorcycle around with black italy car with dark glass. They were very reckless driving. Almost hit my car. I saw they enter private house with fence gate.

Few years later, I saw pictures of Pablo Escobar's house in Time Magazine made me familiar this place. I believe it was Pablo Escobar's Limo driver with crazy 6 motorcycles.
