Well went to the "Outlaws" this saturday to visit my wifes parents....another story to be told.

Anyways, Her stepdad butchered the riding mower they have and I tried to get it running but so many wires cut or missing I couldnt get it to do anything after 3 hours of working on it...I think he shorted and blew the coils?

Anyways we were looking around the property and I noticed a couple motorcycles covered up, both Hondas, one is a 650 the other an 800 and Im interested in the 800. Its a full dresser like a goldwing but I dont like all the body fairing so that may get sold if i get it... currently working on a deal with him, he wants $350 but its not running and taken apart...hmmmmmmm?

LOL no, this is probly late 70's or early 80's model year... Im thinking to chop it make a bobber out of it. It is a 4 cylinder,
I had a 72 CB350 years ago, so same style just bigger bike.
I figured it would be a fun toy to play around with and pass time.

You might want to check out honda motorcycle forums for the particular models. Hondas generally are bulletproof but they do have some quirks and forums would provide a good source of gotchas.

For example with my Honda VFR it has an issue with the regulator/rectifier and I had to buy an aftermarket part to fix it but otherwise it has been pretty reliable.

Ive never said I hated japanese or any foreign anything... You said that in a post and I stated I just prefer older classic cars, never said a such thing other than hate working on the newer stuff.

Now back to the subject, I have owned several OLDER classic bikes

Yes, My CB350 had issues with the backing plate and timing chain, couldnt get perfect time, and wouldnt run if it rained...lol, you know those POS old style points...lol

NO. Ricer is some kid taking a Honda car or similar and trying to soup the engine up to race and making the car look like a POS. Honda/Kawasaki/Suzuki have had some decent bikes.
Examples of some FUGLY ricers. And they sound like a freaking high pitched lawn mower.

Sono I'd get the bike if your gonna turn it into a bobber you can sell the parts you take off and get your money back out of it then some.

No, I like the cars, just dont like they way they look modded and I hate working on "newer" cars either Jap, crap or american... new cars suck ass to work on due to the electronics and special tools needed.

Yes, I know the fairings and hard bags are in demand as they are hard to find to replace. Got a custom bike shop here where you can buy kit bikes, I can buy a chopper frame if I wanted...actually cheap to buy a kit bike, the motor/trans/wheels/tires are what hits you in the pocket book....lol

I know what it mean. You just missed my point. Like at College, one stupid redneck student asked me what kind of car I own? I said Subaru RS and he just like RICER!!. It was not even modded on body or exhaust system or something. Just intake and that's it. So I had google image and found a image of Ford Mustang Ricer and showed it him. He just speechless and walked away.

No I said I HATE THE FART CANS ON A 4 BANGER. Read a little better, they sound like shit. and dont get me wrong, a V8 can sound like a little girl screaming with a 1" exhaust pipe... get a 3" exhaust with a good muffler and it will growl like a beast.
