I had a somewhat similar incident involving my daughter when she was in Kindergarten. Only it was another student and then lack of anything by the teachers and school. While at recess, the kids lined up to use the "twirly" slide. My daughter got to the top and was scared. She broke out in tears according to one of her classmates. Another little boy went up and pushed my daughter over the side rail and she fell from the top, almost a8 feet to the ground. Luckily for the school, the playground was covered with a 4 inch thick depth of rubber tire chips. So, it was mostly a bounce that happened, but she did hit a piece of concrete as well. According to classmates, my daughter was crying and very distraught. Her teacher did not do a thing. the preschool teacher happened to walk by with her class, and saw my daughter. She gathered up my daughter and rushed her to the school nurse as my daughter had started bleeding both from a cut on the top of her head and through the nose. The nurse cleaned her up and both the nurse and the preschool teacher were trying to get the kindergarten teacher to call me. She refused. I show up to get my daughter and she's covered in scratches and bruises and you can plainly see the hand-prints on her back. I had the school nurse and the principal take pictures. The principal and guidance counselor also contacted the police. The next day I went to take daughter back to school as she was cleared by the doctor, she refused to go to class and was so terrified by the sight of the little boy that the nurse called our doctor to explain and he gave authorization for sedation to calm her down. I withdrew my daughter that day and decided to home school.

Now, the little boy in question? It was found out that he was being physically abused by his father, who was the Captain of the local fire department. This occurred when my daughter was 6; She is still afraid to be alone in the company of any boys except her brother and she will be 18 next week.
